Bahrainis get visa-free entry into Indonesia

MANAMA, June 26, 2015

Bahrain passport holders will no longer require visa to travel Indonesia as part of a new policy to boost tourism from the region.

The Indonesian Embassy announced on June 25 that following an initiative by its President Joko Widodo, Bahrain was on a list of several countries covered under the visa-free policy, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

Bahrainis will be allowed to enter through nine exit and entry points in Indonesia and allowed to stay for 30 days for tourism purposes.

“The visa-free scheme cannot be extended beyond 30 days and cannot be converted to other types of visas or residential permits in Indonesia,” stated the embassy. – TradeArabia News Service
